Purple House Cafe Puts an Egg On It

Exciting things have been happening here at Purple House Cafe lately.

Like what, you ask?

Well, I’ve had the good fortune of being invited to contribute to an ebook called Put An Egg On It, which is being compiled by Kelly Brisson of The Gouda Life, and includes recipes from talented bloggers from across Canada.  The ebook will be a highlight on eggs (duh?!) and specifically the trend of topping one’s culinary creations with an egg that seems to be taking the food world by storm right now.  Though I’m definitely feeling like a little teeny tiny weensy itty bitty fish in the massive ocean of incredible food bloggers involved in this project, I’m totally honoured to have a kick at the proverbial can with my recipes and photos.

The ebook will be released in the coming months, and the proceeds will go to charity (which one is yet to be determined).  I will let you know more details as I know them, but I sure hope that all of you will purchase a copy…and a few dozen eggs from your local farmer – you’re going to need them, because these recipes are guaranteed to be irresistable.

You’ll have to buy the book to get the recipes for my two contributions:  Bacon Potato Cakes with Onion Jam and Egg and Pistachio, Coconut and Rosewater Impossible Pie.  For now, here are the photos to whet your appetite…

    • Thanks Lan! I have been working really hard on my photography…and let me tell you, pic monkey has made a world of difference. Sometimes just bringing up the exposure a little bit and sharpening the image just does the trick, eh?
