Once a month, myself and the ladies at The Creative Mama have agreed to do a “day in the life” post featuring photos from…ahem…a day in our lives.
These photos were what Monday, February 4th looked like for me. Note: tantrums, tears and snot not pictured here.
It all started with my morning meditation.
Then my little human woke up all bedhead and bossiness.
We usually play for a little while before we get on the road in the morning. This morning, monkey was too tired to participate.
Once the daycare run is complete, I usually return to the homestead for my shower and breakfast before heading to work. Lately I’m all about a cappuccino made with this coffee and some overnight oats topped with my pal Kelly’s 6 minute microwave (no shit!) lemon curd.
The sunshine was friggin brilliant.
Decided at the last minute to work from home for much of the day to get a bit of time and space to focus on a project I’m working on. So this was lunch. These lentils are everything you could hope for and more – because if you’re like me you don’t expect much from a pile of lentils. But no, seriously, I’ve made these three times in two weeks and they are the ultimate comfort food. Okay, they’re not mac n’ cheese, but they’re GOOD.
The work continues. You know you work in the world of birth and breastfeeding when you use nipple cream as lip balm.
Then it was time for a run with the dog before daycare pick-up. Could not get enough of this sunshine!
We ended it all with a jointly-made dinner.
The other Creative Mamas and I are doing a little link circle. So…check out Sara’s Day in the Life at http://andrewandsarajean.blogspot.com.
“You know you work in the world of birth and breastfeeding when you use nipple cream as lip balm.” This is an actual thing – http://www.drlipp.com/
Oh my god that’s hilarious! Where did you dig this one up from?
I’m so jealous of your sunshine. I don’t think we’ve seen the sun in Seattle since last fall.
The nipple cream lip balm will have me laughing all day. Stellar.
Haha thanks! We haven’t seen much sun either, but that day was a beauty.
This is beautiful and adorable. I love the “bedhead and bossiness” line. You are a busy and strong mama! Keep up the great work in all that you do!
Thanks Clair!
