Welcome back to A Day In The Life….version 4.0. Where do the months go, anyways?
As usual, my average day starts out with this little face. She is REALLY cute, isn’t she? It’s not just me.
She’s just learning how to smile for the camera:
My girls at The Creative Mama do this Day In The Life thing every month: each 4th of the month we take photos of our day, and then we post them on the 24th. May 4th fell on a weekend, so it was lovely to feel like I could take a bit more time with my camera, and seek out beautiful things to capture.
Not to mention, the pace of our day was a little slower, with lots of time to savour together.
Even the dog was pretty chilled.
There were a few of these:

There was even some of this:
I checked out my first rhubarb leaves nosing their way up out of the ground and beginning to unfurl:
The day ended with a little jaunt on the lake with my stand-up paddleboard.
Okay, seriously, not every day is like this for me, but damn, this was a pretty good one eh? I guess I’ve found another wonderful thing about documenting one’s days in photos: you get a special bird’s eye view of just how wonderful, harried, spontaneous, or precious the moments of any given day can be. It’s a nice way to reflect, I think.
As usual, this instalment of A Day in The Life is a part of a link chain with the other women who blog for The Creative Mama. I’m a day early posting this week, but tomorrow, head on over to Samantha’s blog to continue the chain!
Looks like a perfect day – we were a little slower on the 4th, too. And it was FAB! Love the picture of the purple flowers…what are they?
It was soooo nice! It’s a lot easier to do the Day in the Life on a weekend, that’s for sure. Life somehow looks a little more ideal than it does on a hectic work day. The flowers are actually hyacinths…not opened yet.
What a perfect weekend!
