It’s been a little while since I joined in with The Creative Mama crew to do a “day in the life” post. Honestly, I completely forgot about it during the month of July, which was somewhat overwhelming for our family. And today’s post, rather than being a compilation of photos from a single day, which is usually what I do, is a series taken over the course of the entire month, documenting our misadventures along the way.
The kiddo and I have had lots of time to spend together. We do a lot of chalk. I outline her body on the sidewalk, and then she does me.
I end up looking like a bit of a sasquatch, but at least I get to lay down for a minute, and the view is nice.
We went on a wickedly successful hike, during which, when plied with Cheerios, my little one hung out quite contentedly in the backpack.
And then, on the same day, we managed to go blueberry picking. For those of you who have toddlers, you’ll know what a coup this is.
Those made a pretty remarkable pie, by the way.
We spend a lot of time taking the dog for long walks.
Always with this as the goal:
This too:
As for my downtime, it looks a little like this:
And sometimes, if I wake up early enough, there’s just a little bit of time to read and sip a cuppa before the kiddo wakes up.

“I end up looking like a bit of a sasquatch, but at least I get to lay down for a minute…” Best thing I’ve read all week!
Haha, thanks friend ;o)
